Summary

Omni cries for help, but Vector can't get into the Omni-Viewer to help fight the Metallixes. Inside the workspace, the Metallixes press a button and the whole face of the Omni-Viewer shoots into a little box. Knuckles and Chaotix are blasted aside and when they look up, Omni is gone and there's only the empty television box.

Nack immediately accused Knuckles - after all, he reasons, one minute he shows up, and the next minute the Metallixes do! But Espio reasons that Omni had confirmed that he was Robotnik's enemy. Knuckles is more concerned with finding the Metallixes, and Vector reasons that Robotnik isn't in the Special Zone any more but his Egg Fortress is!

Speaking of the Egg Fortress, the Metallixes are reporting to an enormous red Metallix that is rooted to the floor and has connection cables all around. Omni is on a smaller screen issuing threats at the Metallixes. The Metallixes ignore him and proceed with the data transfer - but before they start the second stage, they disable the subject's audio link...

Outside the Egg Fortress, Knuckles says that getting through the thick hull won't be easy. Mighty brushes him aside and even as Knuckles tells him to wait, Mighty cries "waiting is for wimps" and smashes a hole in the underside of the fortress. But Chaotix wanted to break in quietly - and there goes the alarm...
