Summary
Knuckles arrives in the Metropolis Zone on his Apterix in time to help a young magician named Ebony fight off a bunch of Troopers. The people are protesting that some trees are going to be cut down. These trees are special because they can talk. Ebony's old enemy, Omen, appears and a massive scrap occurs. The Elder tree is destroyed and the trees send roots out everywhere. Knuckles convinces the trees to let the people go. Later, the trees are closed off as a haven of natural beauty in the midst of Robotnik's evil terrain. And where the stump of the Elder Tree is, shoots begin to grow.
