Sonic and Knuckles break into Robotnik's ice dome, where he plans to use portals to send powerful Ice Cap badniks to attack the Emerald Hill. Sonic and Knuckles soon sort out the problem and send Robotnik packing. Then, Sonic leaps through the portal as it closes, Knuckles warning him that their truce is over and that he shouldn't trespass on the Floating Island again.
