Summary
Sonic and Knuckles run to the top of the Sky Sanctuary Zone as it collapses, but the Death Egg looms in front of them. Knuckles glides away, with Sonic holding onto him for dear life, but an Eggrobo army attacks. Sonic leaps from Knuckles' spines and bounces off the Eggrobos and through a window on the Death Egg. Sonic arrives on the Death Egg, but Knuckles glides down to the Floating Island with an idea.
Deep in the caverns beneath the Hidden Palace, he brings online ancient technology and manages to make the Island rise upwards - towards the Death Egg. "Watch out, Robotnik" he promises, "I'm coming for you!"
