Summary
Robotnik and Grimer evacuate the Death Egg in a Robotnik robot, but Sonic is mad - he has to get the Master Emerald back to the island before it crashes.
Robotnik is stunned at the new savage face of Robotnik, and is knocked off the island.
Knuckles arrived, but before Sonic will let him have the Emerald he wants a favour...
The Emerald Hill Zone evacuate their homes sadly and load themselves into boats. They are sure that Robotnik's evil will come to an end someday and they may return. They travel to the Floating Island.
When everyone is on the island, it takes off! Knuckles says that as long as the people stick to the Mushroom Hill Zone it should work out okay - and best of all, the island is on full emerald power again so it's safe from attack. (That's the theory anyway).
Knuckles and the Freedom Fighters stand by as the island takes off...
...and from his hospital bed, Robotnik promises "no more mister Nicenik!"
