Summary
(Mighty and Espio are confused as to why they've gone all the way back into the past just to put a rotten egg into Doctor Kintobor's fridge; they think the hedgehog's losing it).
Sonic orders Omni to take them 24 hours into the future, and he does so. After a short wait, Kintobor and Sonic of the past arrive, and look at the fridge. Kintobor is examining the egg realising that he forgot to go shopping again, but is just wondering whether it might be all right with some salt, when Sonic of the present grabs a thick cable that runs across the lab, saying that he wants to make absolutely sure.
Kintobor trips over the cable and rams, egg-first into the machine where he's storing the Chaos Emeralds. In another explosion, the guys watch - and out comes Doctor Robotnik! (Of course, that was Doctor Robotnik as he looked in the old days, before he changed his look in issue 22).
Present-day Sonic turns away in shame, saying that it's the worst day of his life. He realises that this means that the person responsible for creating the world's most vicious dictator - is himself. Porker tries to console him, explaining that somehow Robotnik is the key to solving this. So the guys head back to the present and find that Mobius is indeed fully restored to normal. The Miracle Planet still has a Metallix motif though.
Meanwhile, in Citadel Robotnik, the Doctor himself is ranting down the videophone at a Trooper who hasn't caught Sonic yet - when Sonic and Chaotix drop in...
