Summary

It appears that the robot has been after Zachary for days, and he's exhausted. Attempts to question him seem futile, so the echidnas settle down. But late that night, Knuckles is bothered that the robot seems familiar and rifles around old drawings in one of the Hidden Palace back-rooms. He finds it... seems it's an Echidnan (word mine) design. At this point he hears a cry from Doctor Zachary in the other room; the robot has smashed through the wall and after him. Zachary is frozen with fear, but the robot passes. It goes into the next room, Knuckles quick in pursuit. Clasping the Master Emerald, it smashes it to pieces.
