Summary
Wild-West themed. Rooster is delivering his supply of pterodactyl creatures called Apterixes to the Metropolis Zone when he's nearly killed in a stampede. Knuckles is nearby and manages to evade them just in time. Rooster's 'friends' persuade him that Knuckles must have done it. He's taken prisoner.

The local deputy sheriff is son of the only other Apex deliverer, Boss Krouch; before Rooster came he had a monopoly (and if Rooster were to *ahem* disappear...). Rooster isn't sure about the whole thing. Boss Krouch incites the people to take the law into their own hands and hang Knuckles before the sheriff gets back.

Knuckles is made replacement deputy and drags the info out of Krouch's henchman. They use a shadowy figure trick that looks like the hencman to make Krouch confess, but Rooster is already passing. He falls into the ravine and drops the solution to cause the stampede. He's killed.
