Summary

No sooner have Knuckles and Tails stepped foot in the horrible Land Beyond when a shadow follows them across. It's Errol's sister, Morain and she wants revenge against Trogg for turning his brother into a monster. Knuckles has reservations, at which Morain immediately starts getting jumpy that she's being excluded because she's female.

"Touchy, or what?" comments Knuckles but there's no time to argue as a group of goblins arrive on the scene. In Trogg's inner sanctum, he is cackling that the moon has almost reached its zenith... soon he will be able to call upon the power of the Dark One. The Enchanter Kings are, as you might expect, a bit uncomfortable with this... Back on the outskirts of the Land Beyond, Morain and Knuckles leap into action. Morain soon notes that Knuckles is stronger than Tails and wonders why he acts as his sidekick. Knuckles explains that Tails is a lot tougher than he looks; at this point Tails suggests they give up. Morain scoffs, but Tails points to the enormous goblin army that has just arrived...
