STC #179: OUT OF TIME

Summary
Porker still wants to run a few more tests on Sonic's green eyes, but Sonic refuses. He's had enough and he thinks his eyes look cool anyway. Porker is still worried about the violet glow that Sonic keeps seeing, but Sonic is more keen to find out from Knuckles if he's found the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles is frustrated; it almost seems as if something is stopping him from finding the Chaos Emeralds!

Sure enough, in the dark dimension, Robotnik has bought some time by blocking the Chaos signals!

Sonic covers his eyes and starts to see the violet blur again. This time is grows until it's right next to Knuckles and Porker, although they don't see it. Tikal appears and blasts Sonic with the end of her echidna staff. Sonic disappears, leaving a very mystified Knuckles and Porker.

Sonic and Tikal appear in the middle of a stampede! A bunch of echidnas are chasing the herd of Kohenyu (see "The Graveyard" in Knuckles stories from STC 69-72 to discover the fate of the Kohenyu Herd).

Sonic grabs Tikal and zooms to a nearby rock. The echidnas dismount and a red one that Tikal calls Knuckles asks if her father knows that they're here.

Sonic is shocked that Knuckles is in the past, but Knuckles insists that he doesn't know Sonic. In fact, the echidnas are all surprised that Sonic can talk!

Then an echidna comes to get Knuckles - the intruders are back! Sonic and Tikal follow the echidnas and Knuckles to a rocky valley, and Sonic looks down as a ship opens and a familiar figure steps out...

It's a DRAKON PROSECUTOR!
