Summary

Knuckles seems to believe that Sonic has stolen the Chaos Emeralds, and when Robotnik asks if he has them and Sonic truthfully answers yes, Knuckles attacks. Sonic has already been knocked out once and he never lets anybody beat him up. So the two swing into action. They fight on the ground, they fight in the air, and they even tear the ground underneath them. As Robotnik gloats that tricking Knuckles was a stroke of genius, Tails swoops by in the bi-plane and sweeps the Doctor up in a net. Sonic runs away and onto the bi-plane, leaving Knuckles cursing behind. As Sonic puts it, "you may be nearly my match in a fight, but when it comes to speed, you're not even in my league". [that was from memory, so I don't guarantee 100% accuracy]. As Sonic and Tails fly away with Robotnik cursing beneath them, Tails asks if Sonic could have beaten Knuckles. Out loud, Sonic says yes, but secretly he has doubts...
