Summary

It's Porker's turn to visit Robotnik. He walks down the corridors underneath the Freedom Fighters' base until he gets to Robotnik. Robotnik himself presses Porker, knowing his nervous nature. As Porker tries to interrogate the dictator, the ground rumbles and Knuckles digs his way through the floor. Robotnik reaches through the bars and grabs Porker. Sonic, Amy, Tails and Johnny rush down but Robotnik has Porker firmly in his grasp, and demands the Chaos Emeralds.

Sonic hands them to Knuckles in a coolbox, reminding them that unless kept cold they tend to become unstable and warp back to the Special Zone. (Incidentally, that's what happened to the Chaos Emeralds after Sonic 1). It seems that Robotnik had a transmitter in his teeth that was linked to a tiny implant in Knuckles' brain - this allowed Knuckles to find the secret base. As Robotnik and Knuckles escape, Sonic and Tails dash out - Kintobor points them in the right direction and they hop on the bi-plane. Robotnik is gloating over finally getting the emeralds (but assuring Knuckles that they'll go back to the Floating Island). Sonic and Tails fly close to the flying ship Robotnik is using, and bashes it. The ship crash-lands in the Marble Garden Zone. Sonic and Tails land and investigate... but Knuckles smashes out and this time he's mad!
